In April of 1996, Troy Lupcho decided
to pursue a childhood dream of opening his own bike shop. With much support
from friends and family, he moved from Salt Lake City to his hometown of
Vernal, located in Northeastern Utah. With little to work with and not
much cash, the dream soon became a reality in a small shop known as Altitude
Cycle. |

Later, in 1999, the shop underwent
huge changes when it was moved to a newly remodeled location allowing floor
space and inventory to triple. The new store gave way for bigger and better
brands to hit the floor as well as larger service and storage areas.
The year 2001 will continue to add
growth to Altitude Cycle with the addition of rental bikes to its fleet
and the production of a new trail guide to surrounding single-track trails
in the area.

World Champion, Altitude Cycle has a passion for biking. Enthusiasts in
BMX, road and mountain biking, our goal is to give our customers the friendliest,
most knowledgeable service possible.
