For those who missed Dinotrax 2004 last August, the weather was great, the rides in Vernal & Flaming Gorge were awesome and the Friday & Saturday Parties were great fun!!
SO GET WITH IT!
Plan now for the Dinotrax 2005 Mountain Bike Festival to be held August 5-7, 2004 - it only gets better every year and you really need to check out the singletrack of Northeastern Utah!!

EVENT CENTER

Red Canyon Lodge is the center of all the action for the weekend. Located off Hwy 44 in Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, the Lodge is well known for its Luxury Log Cabins, Fine Dining and on-site recreation. Call the Lodge at 435-889-3759 for more information or check out their web-site at www.redcanyonlodge.com. (Dinotrax Cabins for 2004 will be booked through Red Canyon Lodge. Call Mark at 435-889-3759 to get one.)

FREE CAMPING

The group sites at Greens Lake Campground (next to Red Canyon Lodge) has been reserved for Dinotrax. It is available for the first 40 campers for Friday and Saturday night only at no charge. (Reserve with Mark at Red Canyon Lodge at 435-889-3759) Watchable wildlife is abundant here as well, (an exciting bonus to any of our tours!) including elk, muile deer, pronghorn antlelope and bighorn sheep.

BOAT/BIKE TOUR
More Boat Rides for 2005!!

One of the most unique tours of the Festival are the Boat/Bike Tours offered on Sunday. First, enjoy the guided, leisurely ride on dirt roads, single and double track trails to a breathtaking overlook of Flaming Gorge! From there, it’s a steep descent down Hideout Canyon to the shores of Flaming Gorge (good time for a dip!). Our Pontoon Boat will pick you up for a short tour of the scenic canyons that so impressed the area’s first explorers. Sit back, relax, have a cold one and keep your eyes
peeled for the Bighorn Sheep that call this
area home!

POKER RUN

Want some friendly competition? Saturday afternoon (after the tours) is a chance for big-time fame and glory!! Draw your cards along our Lake course and strive for the best (or worst) hand! Serious fun and serious prizes!

SATURDAY NIGHT PARTY

Join us at 7:00 PM for our annual evening affair featuring live music from Blue Mountain Bluegrass AND lots of swag. The pasta is on us and a raffle of cool stuff is just part of the fun!

Bike Helmets Required!
Just a reminder from your local health department...The primary measure to avoid head injury on a bicycle is not to crash. The secondary measure is to wear a helmet for the times when you do crash. Both measures are essential for every rider on every ride.

TriCounty Health Department
--Have you seen Joseph lately? He is looking fine - keep up the great work Mr. Shaffer!)
